Ma’am…you have a beautiful uterus.

I’ve been called a lot of things and given a lot of compliments but none like the one I heard today….

It’s sonohysterogram day. I really didn’t know what to expect. Even though this is my first visit alone, the staff at the clinic is always courteous and welcoming. This procedure consists of filling my uterus with saline in order to check for weak spots or any other abnormalities that may impede a fetus from growing properly or put me at risk in pregnancy.

You can assume the pregnancy test came back negative since I’m here typing this post and not somewhere crying my eyes out, lol. No hormones today because there are still some loose ends that need to be tied up. I had a photoshoot scheduled but didn’t want to feel all awkward after the procedure. I guess you could say I was at a different kind of photoshoot. After filling me up with saline, the doctor takes some pictures on the ultrasound then says, “You have a beautiful uterus!” Um, thank you? Really, how do you respond to that?

With grace, I guess, since every positive thing gets my IPs closer to their dream of having a baby of their own. Good to know I’m beautiful both inside and out. :-p
