It's Ya Birthday!

Now let's talk about the celebration!!

My initial birthday request was to shoot at a gun range. I've never held or even touched a gun before. In all honesty, I'm a bit scared of them. I've always been the type of person to confront my fears to eliminate their power over me. Unfortunately, the range required me to take a class first (probably for the best). So on to plan B....

That morning I took my daughter to her hair appointment (long story short: we were running late on Thursday and had to reschedule. I went out of town so I did my own hair and gave her my appointment on Sat). All morning I kept asking myself "Why is SHE getting her hair done on MY birthday?!?" #mommylife at its best. She's 14 and looks are life and everything is a crisis. And I didn't want her to go ONE.MO.DAY complaining!

Our next stop...Legoland! Again, I ask, how do I end up at a kid's entertainment attraction on MY birthday? I wanted to do something with the kids so my choices are:

1. Do what I want and listen to them complain the whole time

or

2. Do something they like and we all have fun

Door#2 please...

Legoland. King and Queen Building

Although the place was not worth the money, we had a great time and the kids surprisingly got along the entire day. To the point where i wish everyday was someone's birthday. We even played an interactive game where we shot at monsters, so I got gun fix after all...lol!

Dinner at Johnny Rockets then we zipped home so I could change for adult activities. Unfortunately I didn't get any good shots of my amazing dress. That just means I get to wear it again!

If I couldn't get to the range, the next most important thing to me was to dance! All night long!

The salsa fest was in town but I decided to go the local "grown and sexy" joint. Where do you go when you're too old for Fetty Wap and Future all night yet too young to get excited about EU "Da Butt"? Even if my name is in it. We got a kick out of all the old folks tearing up the dancefloor. Then they called for all the birthday girls to hit the stage for a free shot. Truth be told, I had been eyeing that stage all night. I just needed permission and this was it. It was only apropos that my drink of choice for the night was "Sexual Seduction". With 2 in me plus the shot, I can't imagine a better night.

What was I doing? The Tootsie Roll??!?

We live in a society where people feel the need to broadcast every minute of their lives. Our own little reality shows, so to speak. That night, I wanted to be present and in the moment. But remember, the celebration continues!
