French fries and Mayonnaise: the cravings begin.

I've been doing the Lupron injections fo about week now. Lupron is hormone meant to stop my reproductive system and keep me from ovulating. The reproductive specialists are in the process of manipulating my cycle and syncing it with the intended mother's.

i've been curious to find out how these hormones would affect me. The Mirena made me extremely aggressive and I knew it had to go when I found myself pinning my daughter up against the wall by her throat for something I don't even remember now.

Got my answer when I look at my good old fashioned french fries and said, You know what? Mayonnaise would great on these! There are many things that viscerally feel better than having a craving and fulfilling it. The cravings have begun...

Along with it came an absolutely insatiable appetite. Imagine an animal bent over terrorizing the refrigerator eating everything within arms reach, tossing containers behind her when done. No one dare come in the kitchen and disturb her or get in her way until she's done and the trail of carnage is left behind.

The next day the same girl is now a tame, innocent creature too hungry to bother with an oven, microwave, or even plate or utensils. She quietly sits on the floor with the door fridge door open devouring finger foods like cold chicken wings and pizza.

Let's not talk about the look on the waiters face as I calmly and matter of factly order 2 entrees. "Yes, I'm gonna eat all that food!," my face says in response.

Below is a list of things I can't get enough of in this pregnancy...

Cravings

Bacon - I eat like 6 slices per sitting. My mouth watered as my local deli made me a BLT with 13 slices of bacon. Yes, I counted.

Chocolate - not sure if this is an actual craving since my sweet tooth was pretty strong even before this process. But I'm eating an unusual amount and i'm eating it WITH the bacon. Put it on the list.

Cashews - all nuts really. Again, this is a food item i love anyway. It's just the sheer volume that makes it a craving.

Watermelon - (this one came later in the pregnancy) For about a month, I was doing the right thing drinking all the water I could. Having a brand new water bottle with my initials on it really helped (a gift from my daughter's teacher for being a room mom). I later realized my body was craving the wter because in that same time period I ate at least 4 watermelons by myself - I get a half, the rest of the family gets the other half. My body drank all the water it could, then it started eating it.
